Hi MetroPower,
I am apparently the newest member here, so I am not sure how this is gonna go but hey its worth a shot.
I bought meself a '95 Rover 100 Kensington in March this year, an apparently sound, good looking car. Passed its MOT in June with no worries at all, only 34500miles on the clock!
But since then I have had a number of issues with the cooling system and most recently the fuel tank. The cooling system I have just about sorted out now, but the fuel tank is an issue. It has a big split along one of the seem welds and it leaks like a colander. Both myself and the local garage i use for parts have searched across the internet and suppliers and have been unsuccessful in finding a replacement tank in any capacity. Its gonna be right dear to get it welded up, so I am putting it to you guys to suggest any alternatives.
SO DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR FINDING A NEW OR SECOND HAND FUEL TANK FOR A '95 METRO? OR ANYONE WHO KNOWS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY OF REPAIRING ONE?
Any suggestions are welcome so don't hold back.
CHEERS,
LOUIS
