Ignition lead with cover for coil

Post by forcker »

Hi there,

I am running a MK3 16V metro that was converted from SPI to MPI. So I am still using the round ignition coil.
Does anyone know a source for the ignition lead from coil to dizzy with that rubber cover?

It is pictured here, but doesn't seem to come with that cover:

I tried a couple of Bosch service stations but none of them has a crimping tool for ignition leads.

Kind regards

Would it easier to grab the cover of a scrap set of leads?

my '93 gti mpi has the round coil originally. but I do not have the big rubber cover as in your picture. only a normal type small cover. anyway its not a great system because its located right behind the headlamp and when everything is wet due to rain it sparks to everything metal near the ht lead.
