Has anyone tried to set up their KIF38 with a Gunson's Colortune? And if so how did you get on / do it? I'm thinking of getting one and having a go as I can't find a definitive guide on how to set up my carb myself and it is a bit "off" - lean I think. The trick would be how to set up the idle speed / air bypass torx screw and jet height mixture screw. Since the KIF featured in no other cars, information is scarce. Many years ago I owned an MG MIdget MK2 (1098cc) with twin SU 1 1/4 inch carbs - they would be great for my K series 1.1.

the colortune sounds like a nice kit, but I don't think you need it if you understand these two charts:

the first one only works if your carb has that push pin pictures, which some HIF carbs has, but I don't know if KIF carbs have it.
The second picture always work, but you still wont know what the CO% is before you visit a guy with a measuring device.
