Re: Flat spot/hesitation on -1993 Metro Quest 1.1c
Which oil are you using in the dashpot? Sometimes the SU oil is too thin so dashpot rises too quick and using engine oil may improve it. Conversely engine oil can slow the dashpot rising so a thinner oil is needed. Also you don't say whether this is with engine cold, and using the choke, or when the...

Re: Hydragass units or the shock absorbers (front suspension only)
You'd need to ask a supplier like HAHS or Rimmer about compatibility between Metro and 100 .. BL often made subtle changes to parts. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-RP1974R I would be wary of buying 2nd hand units from a breaker as you have no idea of their condition and these probably need to be pum...

Re: Hydragass units or the shock absorbers (front suspension only)

Re: Hydragass units or the shock absorbers (front suspension only)
I was hoping to see a picture your actual car. Without seeing it, we can't really diagnose what is wrong. We can guess .. and you could be spending money on parts you don't need. And those hydragas units are not cheap! In your first post you said your car "has no front suspension what so ever!" .. I...

Re: Hydragass units or the shock absorbers (front suspension only)
A photo of your cars suspension might help. You can't upload one here, but if you store it on an image site such as imgur you can post a link to it.
Then someone who knows more about Metros might be able to advise.

Re: Hydragass units or the shock absorbers (front suspension only)
Might be worth a call: https://hahsltd.co.uk/shop/a-set-of-austin-metro-hydragas-units-recharged-and-fully-tested/ that link dose not work! https://ibb.co/Zhw6sS5 Works for me or I wouldn't have posted it! I realised that the Rimmer site didn't sell the parts but it was really to SHOW you what part...
