Harris Mann RIP (1938-2023)
Metropower are saddened to hear of the passing of designer Harris Mann
Harris Mann, who was heavily involved in the development of the Metro, has sadly died aged 85. He worked on the LC8 prototype which eventually became what we came to know as the Austin (and later Rover) Metro.
In later life he was often seen at Austin Rover shows and showed great enthusiasm speaking to owners about their cars. He also commisioned bespoke artwork such as the one below, requested by David Collins.
A full obituary has been posted on the excellent AR Online site, please click below to read more about Harris' life and career at British Leyland

The Metropower Admin team sends its condolences to Harris' family and friends at this difficult time.
Rest in peace Harris and thank you for bringing the Metro to us all.
