it's not the ecu that's the issue it's the alarm box that's located behind the glove box have you got a 2 button keyfob or the single button one?

Hi,

It is possible to disable the alarm (ie turn off the auto arm) then you just put fob in a safe place and bobs your uncle.

Try the owners manual (dont laugh)

The reason i say this is my metro gta 1.1 has no key fob (previous owner lost it but had done the above prior to losing it)
my alarm never sets on this car, but on my 118 it auto sets after about 30 seconds

I dont have to use the fob on my gta.

Didn't know about this, going to have a nosey about it myself I think. I have a 100 with a 160 in and the alarm never activates and you don't need the fob, but the fob doesn't seem to work. any ideas on that one?
