Was wondering if anyone has been running 135 cams in a 14k4f 1.4 16v and if so did it require much modification to run
Many thanks for people’s help

I haven't heard of anyone doing it, but I guess that if you modify one of them to fit roter arm for the dizzy and probably also remap the engine it should work nicely. if you have a mems3 engine in your car the standard ecu can be remapped and it doesn't have a dizzy so they should be easy to fit to such an engine.

Thankyou for your help. I am looking at modifying my 1.4 and this was one of the options the other I thought about was fitting a vvc head but again am unsure if the valves would hit the top of the piston

I believe you need a 1.6 or 1.8 engine for the valves on the vvc head to clear as the bores are bigger in these engines. and then again of course a remap

Are 1.4 and 1.8 cylinder heads the same?

there are some early 1.4 heads with smaller inlet ports but besides that all N/A non vvc heads are the same as far as I know

As far as I was aware the 1.4 has smaller valves and combustion chambers. The 1.6 and 1.8 have larger valves and chambers and I believe they are both the same. The vvc head has larger valves and chambers than the standard 1.8 head.
You may be able to put a standard 1.8 head on the 1.4 but I think you could put a vvc on it.
Again this is as far as I am aware I may be wrong.
