I have a 96 and a 97 111 rover 100
The 96 model has a dim dip system which I believe
Is causing the headlights to malfunction sometimes  .
Is there a way to disable the whole dim dip relay? [s

Easy, the resister is tucked up under the rh wing, remove the dirt shield under the headlight, just unplug it and the dim-dip will no longer work, but the normal headlights will, problems usually arise when higher wattage bulbs are fitted. If you still have a problem, the chances are the fuse box will be overheated by the headlight relay that is soldered to the pcb, but the pcb will be fried.
